NGO Advisor ranked Handicap International #8 out of 500 of the world’s non-governmental organizations. This is the fifth annual NGO Advisor ranking, which uses transparency, accountability, governance, impact, and innovation to evaluate organizations.

"We are so pleased to receive this tremendous recognition," says Jeff Meer, executive director of Handicap International in the U.S. "This ranking directly reflects the incredible work achieved by more than 3,500 HI staff in 60 countries, and their commitment to meeting the highest professional standards. They work tirelessly to support our planet's most vulnerable people, and stand on a 35-year-old foundation of dedication to humanitarian action and development."

In the 2016 rating, Handicap International moved up two spots from its 2015 #10 rating.
