HI has been responding to disasters like this one for over 40 years. We know they often strike without warning and almost always disproportionately affect people with disabilities. Our emergency teams are prepared to provide the most important and immediate needs, including: 

• essential care items like blankets and soap
• rehabilitation and assistive devices for those with injuries and amputations
• mental health support for those dealing with severe trauma
