Landmines have no place in the modern world.

With your help, we can support landmine survivors and reach explosive ground before the next innocent family does.

The war ends. The landmines don’t know it’s over.

To a child, a flash of color half-buried in the dirt or sitting on the sidewalk looks like a toy. Or more often, it’s completely invisible under their feet.

Landmines and other explosive devices are often designed to be mistaken for something harmless: a bell, a ball, a butterfly. Others are buried underground, impossible to see at all. More than 40 years ago, Humanity & Inclusion made it our job to find landmines, disarm them, educate people about them, and help the people who survive them.

HI is one of the world’s most comprehensive mine action organizations, clearing landmines and unexploded ordnance, teaching families how to recognize and avoid them, helping survivors rehabilitate from severe injuries, and pushing the world's governments to ban these weapons for good.

We were there when the international movement to ban landmines began. We were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for our work then. And we are still at it today.

In some of the most dangerous places on earth, HI is doing the painstaking work of turning deadly ground back into safe ground. And we’re doing everything we can to stop the production and sale of these inhumane weapons.

Meet some of the amazing people supported by our mine clearance efforts!
