People's Postcode Lottery

This year, Humanity & Inclusion has been selected for a Special Award by People’s Postcode Lottery. Awarded through the Postcode Global Trust, these vital funds are supporting the work of our physiotherapists, orthopaedic technicians and psychologists in rehabilitation centres, in the community, in hospitals and refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon.

According to our research, one in five Syria refugees has a physical, sensory or learning impairment. Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, our teams will be able to reach more refugees with disabilities affected by the Syrian conflict, who find it extremely difficult to access help.

How does it work?

32% of the lottery ticket price goes to charities. So far, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £404 million for over 60 good causes - an incredible impact.

Every day, our rehabilitation teams offer a lifeline to the most vulnerable victims of the Syria crisis.

People like Bayan, a 13-year-old Syrian refugee with cerebral palsy. Bayan, together with her brothers who also have cerebral palsy, has been receiving physiotherapy and psychological support as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation programme.

Rebuilding shattered lives

Campaign to Stop Bombing Civilians

Everyday our teams hear the stories of innocent people whose lives have been changed forever after being injured in air-strikes and other attacks with explosive weapons. Amputations, spinal injuries, broken limbs and shrapnel wounds are amongst the most common injuries seen by our rehabilitation teams.

Shockingly, nine out of ten victims of explosive weapon attacks in urban areas are civilians. Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery we will be able to reach even more members of the public with our Stop Bombing Civilians campaign.
