Humanity & Inclusion UK appoints Save the Children’s former Director of Global Policy, Advocacy and Research as Chief Executive

International NGO Humanity & Inclusion UK (HI UK) has appointed George Graham, former Director of Global Policy, Advocacy and Research at Save the Children, as its new Chief Executive.
As of March 22nd, George Graham will begin his new role at international disability NGO, HI UK.
Graham is responsible for leading HI UK’s dynamic team to deliver an ambitious UK strategy aligned with its vision and values.

This extraordinary movement has achieved so much and Aleema Shivji has been wonderful in the role for many years - hers will be a very hard act to follow. said George Graham.
Before joining HI, Graham spent thirteen years at Save the Children and five years at the International Rescue Committee, working on humanitarian response, program quality, policy, advocacy and campaigns. He has worked in the Middle East, East Africa, India and the Balkans, and for many years led Save the Children’s humanitarian influencing work, including its global Stop the War on Children campaign.

George is also a trustee of Conciliation Resources, an international organization that works to stop violent conflict and create more peaceful societies. He holds a Masters’ degree in Violence, Conflict and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
