Humanity & Inclusion's Global Managing Director, Manuel Patrouillard, addressed the UN Security Council on Monday 1st April to share his concerns about the persistent and targeted violences against humanitarian actors in their areas of intervention.

The Security Council must strengthen the protection of humanitarian workers, especially in the most volatile environments such as conflict zones.

More than 500 humanitarian workers were subjected to violence or attacks from January 2017 to June 2018, 60 of whom died, 96 were injured and 113 were kidnapped. 90% of humanitarian victims of violence are local staff.
