The World Day of the African Child take place on 16th June each year and was first organized to remember the children that were killed by the apartheid regime in Soweto, South Africa on that day in 1976.

We’ve put together this slideshow with photos taken from Handicap International projects in Angola, Burundi, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
