Flooding in Myanmar: Handicap International specialists sent to help local organizations

Two humanitarian emergency response specialists have been dispatched to Burma (Myanmar) where one million people have been affected by flooding in 12 of the country’s 14 states. Their mission will be to support the efforts already being made by people’s organizations to identify the needs of the most vulnerable victims and to ensure they are included in the current humanitarian aid effort. Below, one of these specialists, logistics officer Philippe Mazard, describes the remarkable work being done by these organizations.
