Helping Injured Nepal Earthquake Survivors Recover

In the weeks and months following the earthquake, our generous donors provided $2.6 million in funding. This allowed us to provide more than 7,700 injured people with 16,588 rehabilitation sessions, 5,000 mobility aids such as wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs, and psychosocial support. We also distributed 6,607 kits containing cooking supplies, tents, medical supplies, or other essential items to vulnerable families.

With a presence in Nepal since 2000 and a staff of 55, Handicap International has the resources and commitment to support injured earthquake survivors for the long-term, providing them with additional physical therapy and new support devices as needed.
