Health and Rehabilitation Intern

This is an exciting internship opportunity for a new global/public health Master’s graduate to strengthen their skills, understanding and experience on related issues.

Handicap International’s (HI) work in global health is a niche area, with few others engaging in the links of health and disability and this is an opportunity to work on some major developing health issues and agendas.

The internship will run from September to December 2014, and the main role will be supporting the work of the health and rehabilitation technical advisor, who will be off-site and out of country for much of the internship. This will include attending health-focused meetings and events in D.C and maintaining records etc.  This internship provides a superb opportunity for observation with the global health networks around the DC area.

The internship will also have a specific technical project assigned based on the skills and interests of the candidate and the needs already ascertained by the health and rehabilitation technical advisor.
