FIELD / ADMINISTRATOR
The administrator is responsible for the administrative and financial management of a program (budgets, cash flow, financial monitoring, relations with funding bodies) and provides training and support in budget management for project managers. He/she also ensures the administrative management of local staff and assists the Field Program Director and management/administrative staff recruit and develop human resources (recruitment, inclusion, training). He/she supervises the program administrative team and ensures compliance with internal procedures and local legislation.
Profile: High school diploma + degree (or minimum equivalent) in finance, accounting, management or Bioforce (humanitarian training organization).
Minimum 2 years professional experience in administrative, financial and HR management.
Minimum 1 year experience as an international solidarity administrator.
FIELD / COORDINATOR
General Coordinator/Deputy field program director:
Working to the Field Program Director, the coordinator/ deputy FPD is responsible for a geographical area or a group of multidisciplinary projects. He/she ensures the implementation of operational strategy within his/her sphere of activity and helps define the program’s future strategy. He/she supervises and trains the project managers under his/her line-management in project management (notably methodology and writing project proposals for institutional funding bodies). Responsibility for representing the association in his/her sphere of activity is delegated to him/her by the Field Program Director, and he/she also manages the projects’ human and financial resources.
Profile: Higher education in political, economic or social sciences, or management (school of management). Minimum 3 years of experience as a project manager or administrative and logistics coordinator, supervisory and project management skills. These posts can lead on to a post as Field Program Director.
FIELD / LOGISTICIAN
The logistician is responsible for the management of premises, technical equipment and supplies for a program. He/she organizes staff movements and manages vehicle use. He/she supervises a logistical team and ensures that the program’s safety rules are implemented.
Profile: High school diploma + minimum 2 years training in logistics or Bioforce.
Minimum 2 years professional experience in this area of expertise.
Minimum 1 year experience as a logistician in the humanitarian or development field.
FIELD / PROGRAM DIRECTOR
The Field Program Director represents Handicap International in a particular country. He/she is responsible for implementing the association’s mandate and ensuring respect for its ethics, values, image and message.
Responsible for a broad range of management responsibilities, he/she develops the program’s vision and strategy, coordinates activities (project engineering), manages his/her team (local and expatriate staff) and ensures the financial management of the project, with an emphasis on sourcing finance.
Profile: Higher education with a background in political, economic and social sciences or management (management school). Minimum 3 years of experience in implementing development program strategies, as the head of mission or country director of an NGO.
FIELD / PROJECT MANAGER / DISABILITY ANS URBAN ENVIRONMENTS – ACCESSIBILITY
He/she is responsible for managing projects aimed at improving disabled people’s accessibility to, and participation in, the community by improving accessibility to facilities, mainstreaming disability issues into local development policies, and promoting the participation of people with disabilities in the local community.
The project manager’s role includes operational implementation, budget monitoring, team management, relations with partners and local authorities, and the writing of project proposals and reports.
Profile: High school diploma + minimum 2 years academic training in, for example, local or community development, + 2 years minimum experience in the field covered by the project: local development, inclusion in the community or, for infrastructure accessibility projects: architects experienced in the construction/accessibility of public buildings.
Experience of working in partnership with local authorities.
Excellent project management skills and experience of managing a team.
FIELD / PROJECT MANAGER / HEALTH
He/she is responsible for managing a project aimed at improving the prevention, testing and care of disabling diseases (diabetes, filariosis, HIV, etc.) These initiatives are mainly based on strengthening local partnerships (local associations or health structures).
The project manager’s role includes operational implementation, budget monitoring, team management, relations with partners and local authorities, and writing project proposals and reports.
Profile: Doctor/nurse or public health specialist.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the field covered by the project.
Excellent project management skills and experience of managing a team.
FIELD / PROJECT MANAGER / INCLUSION
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects to promote the inclusion of people with disability in and through the community. This inclusion in the life of the community can take different forms: social and family life, education, professional and economic life, sport and leisure. The project manager’s role includes operational implementation, budget monitoring, team management, relations with partners and local authorities, and writing projects proposals and reports.
Profile: High school diploma + minimum 2 years higher education.
Minimum 2 years of experience: inclusion of people suffering from exclusion or PWD in the field covered by the project. Experience working in a partnership.
Excellent project management skills, experience as a team manager.
FIELD / PROJECT MANAGER / PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT
The Project Manager is responsible for managing a project aimed at improving care of psychological disorders. These initiatives are mainly based on training and assistance for local professionals.
The project manager’s role includes operational implementation, budget monitoring, team management, relations with partners and local authorities, and writing project proposals and reports.
Profile: Psychologist + minimum 2 years of experience in the field covered by the project.
Excellent project management skills; experience as a team manager desirable.

He/she is responsible for managing projects aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. These actions are based mainly on strengthening relations with local partners working in care structures (hospitals, rehabilitation centers, health centers) or within the community. The project manager’s role includes operational implementation, budget monitoring, team management, relations with partners and local authorities, and the writing of project proposals and reports.
Profile: Ortho-prosthetic technician (ISPO Level 1) or physiotherapist/occupational therapist (High School Diploma + degree or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years of experience of specific aspects of the project.
Excellent project management skills, experience as a team manager.
Prior experience in a developing country is a major advantage.

His/her role is to ensure the technical quality and consistency of the various projects developed in the field of rehabilitation and inclusion. He/she helps define the strategy at country level and provides support and assistance to other members of the team. He/she may be responsible for a team of project managers or have a representative role in his/her field.

Profile: Ortho-prosthetic technician (ISPO Level 1) or physiotherapist/occupational therapist (High School Diploma + degree or equivalent)

FIELD/ PROJECT MANAGER / DISABILITY RIGHTS AND POLICIES
The project manager develops and coordinates projects to promote the rights of people with disabilities: he/she assists Disabled Peoples Organizations in promoting disability rights, helps define national policies on access to rights for the disabled, strengthens dialogue between the public authorities and civil society to develop social initiatives aimed at promoting disabled people’s participation in community life.
He/she manages a project team and is responsible for sourcing finance in his/her field of expertise.
Profile: Higher education background in law, social action or sociology with a focus on disability.
Minimum 2 years of experience in managing projects relating to the defense of civil rights, lobbying, and civil society assistance.

He/she is responsible for managing a project aimed at raising the awareness of groups at risk from mines. These initiatives are performed at a community level, through institutional communication and the media.

Profile: Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of prevention or Information/Education/Communication.

-Desk officer: overall managerial responsibility for programs in a geographic area, with the support of a small team, coordinating with technical, administrative and logistical support services at head office; manages Field Program Directors.
Profile: Higher education and minimum 3 years of experience of managing international development or humanitarian programs, if possible with knowledge of disability issues; fluent English, second language a plus.
-Technical advisor: provides technical support and quality assurance for the design and follow-up of projects in his/her technical field; helps recruit, train and assess project managers; responsible for the capitalization and dissemination of know-how; represents the association in professional networks.
Profile: Technical expertise and excellent project management skills in the fields of inclusion, health and rehabilitation, with three years field experience in developing countries. Fluent English, second language a plus.
-Program financial controller
Profile: Management or business school background, 2 to 3 years of experience in the financial sector, including one year in the field as a development or humanitarian program administrator. Fluent English.
HEAD OFFICE / SUPPORT POSITIONS
