MANDATE

Humanity & Inclusion’s overall goal in Tajikistan has been to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups of people and help local organizations become the main protagonists of change. The Quality of Life for All project, launched in the Khatlon region in 2011, increased access to social, healthcare, and education services for children with disabilities and their families. Each child was given an individual action plan including exercises and activities designed to improve their capabilities. At the same time, disability awareness training was provided to professionals working in the fields of healthcare, education and social work and to the children’s local communities.

Teams also worked to make public premises more accessible to people with disabilities, including the construction of access ramps in health centers in two towns. The organization launched its first operations in Tajikistan in January 2010. Humanity & Inclusion's activities have been suspended in Tajikistan since the beginning of 2015.
